Student Council is an organization formed for the purpose of student government. The goal of this organization is involvement of the student body and representation on the class level. Representatives are elected from each class and an executive council is made up of officers from each class council and five Student Council officers. SHS Student Council is a member of the Louisiana Association of Student Councils and the Southern Association of Student Councils. The SHS council meets every other Monday at 3:00 pm or Tuesday at 7:15am in Mrs. Petross's room (3105).
